Target Preferences in Stolo

As a signed up user of Stolo, you can configure Target Configuration by visiting Preferences. We have quite many configuration for you to trade like a pro.

Target Terminologies​

Stolo platform introduces new concepts for Target placing & managing. Here are all the terms you need to understand w.r.t Target

  • Target - An order leg placed to capture upside/profit of the trade. Capturing the profit using target
  • Target Type - Target can be placed as Points, Percentage of the price or absolute Price.
  • Target Points - How far the Target should be placed from the entry price. For ex. 20 Points Target on Rs.200 Option would place the Target at Rs.220
  • Target Percentage - Whats percentage of price would be used for the Target. For ex. 10% Target on Rs.200 Option would place the Target at Rs.220
  • Target Price - You can also set absolute price for the Target For ex. On Rs.200 Option price, you can set the Target at Rs.220
  • Target On LTP or Entry Price - In Stolo, you can configure whether the Target should be placed at LTP (Last Traded Price) of the contract of the Entry Price of the order
  • Target Trailing Points - We allow you to move your Target with the help of + (plus) & - (minus) buttons. The trailing points decide how many points the Target should move with each click.

Target Points & Percentage Configuration​

You can set default Target Points & Percentage for all your trades. This helps in adding quick Target while in trade. You can also set default Target Type

  • Target Type - Choose default Target Type (Points or Percentage)
  • Target Value - Set default Target Value in Points or Percentage based on above selection
  • Trailing Points - Set the Target Trailing Points
  • Symbol Wise Target - You can select Target Points or Percentage for particular symbols based on volatility. If any symbol is not mentioned here, default values set above would be used.

Symbol Wise Target​

Not all instruments have the same volality & movement. Like for NIFTY 20 points Target is fine, but for SENSEX one can capture atleast 80 points. Stolo provide this configuration option where in you can set symbol wise Target points. If any particular Symbol points is not set, then the default value is picked for it.

  • Set the default Target Points & Percentage as mentioned above
  • Add Symbol specific points & percentage

Automatic Placing Target​

You can enable this to add Target automatically to the order as soon as order is placed. These Target would be handled & monitored in Stolo's Server. The values for Target would be taken as per the configuration above.

  • Enable the Auto Target Placement
  • Ensure you have set proper values in the configuration above
  • Ensure that you hav set set Symbol wise Target
